↳ The Library

Our research, in public.

The thinking we'd normally bill for — teardowns, field notes, and long reads on the brands shaping hospitality, F&B, and lifestyle across Southeast Asia. Sourced, opinionated, and free to read. Every piece ends with what we'd actually do about it.

Three ways we publish.

Different questions need different lengths. Each format has one job, and each one ends in a recommendation — not just a diagnosis.

900–1,400 words

Teardown

A named brand, strategy, or category, taken apart with numbers — why it works or breaks, and what the players should do about it. The sharpest, most opinionated format.

500–900 words

Field Note

One observation, sharply made, with one thing to do about it. Timely and small — a single signal worth acting on before it's obvious to everyone.

2,200–3,500 words

Long Read

A thesis with depth that ends in a playbook. Cross-market precedent, the full economics, and a concrete recommendation for the people who build and sell in the category.

Everything we've published.

Newest first. No archive theatre — when there's something worth your time, it lands here.

Bali's branded residences are selling the wrong thing.

Five resort markets ran this cycle before Bali. The price stops following the brand and starts following the operator — here's what developers should build now.
